Fake News Alert: A Recent Article on CNN by reporter “David Shortell” is Inaccurate, if not Intentionally Dishonest

David Shortell, it would appear, is not being honest in his reporting at CNN as he claims that the US has been attempting to shut down the Darién Gap. That is actually a bald faced lie, according to a source who has actually been to the Darién Gap a number of times himself. The US has not been trying to shut down the Darién Gap, at least not according to a source who has actually been there on the ground watching what is happening there for a very long time.

In a recent Tucker Carlson interview with Michael Yon, a journalist who has actually been at the Darién Gap watching what has been happening at various points in time over the course of years, Yon claims to have actually witnessed U.S. D.H.S. Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas land with a group of Blackhawk helicopters and deliver cash in briefcases to NGOs working to get people safely through the Darién Gap.

According to Michael Yon at least, the U.S. has been financing the invasion of illegal immigrants into the United States, not trying to stop it as claimed by CNN’s reporter David Shortell. During the Tucker Carlson interview, Carlson asked Yon how many other reporters he has encountered while working in the Darién Gap, to which Yon replied, “Zero.”
